Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy celebrates A Level and post-16 achievements
Students and staff at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy have come together to celebrate this year’s A Level and post-16 results.
Sixth form students at our school have been recognised for the progress they have made and the dedication they have shown throughout their studies.
The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.
Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:
- Taylor Ball gained an A* EPQ, a B in criminology, C in psychology, and a C in sociology and will be studying Psychology with a forensic and investigate specialism at the University of Chester
- Abigail secured a B in English language, C in history, Distinction in business studies and is studying History at Liverpool John Moores University
- Carly obtained an A in core mathematics, B in criminology, C in biology, C in chemistry and will be studying Biomedical Science at Liverpool John Moores University
- Ellis F achieved a Distinction in health and social care, B in geography, B in sociology and will be going on to study Paramedic Science at Liverpool John Moores University
- Layla secured a Distinction* in health and social care, a B in psychology, and a B in sociology, and will study Sociology at the University of Liverpool
- Bailey achieved a B in geography, B in English language and a Distinction in music and is applying for a role at Arriva
- Ellie received a Distinction* in animal management, C in biology, a Distinction in chemistry, and will go ono to study Biology at Liverpool Jonh Moores University
- Ellis E achieved a Merit in business studies and merit sport and is studying Sport and Physical Education at Liverpool Hope University
- Faith secured a Distinction in health and social care, a Distinction in sociology, a Merit in sport and will study International History and Politics at the University of Leeds
- Nikki gained a C in criminology, a B in psychology, and a C sociology and will study Sociology at the University of Liverpool
- Harry who achieved a B in biology, and Cs in chemistry and mathematics, who has the option to study biomedical science at Liverpool John Moores or an apprenticeship with Morrisons
Overall, the sixth form achieved a 93% pass rate at Level 3 this year, supporting students to take their next steps.
