Uniform
We have a smart uniform which students are expected to wear at all times. Wearing a uniform makes everyone feel that they are ‘at work’ and it impacts positively on attitudes to learning. Our uniform creates a unique sense of OBA identity and ensures that everyone is equal.
All items of clothing should be clearly marked with the student’s name.
A house-coloured tie will be provided by OBA for all new Year 7 students as part of their induction into the academy.
House colours are:
- Red (Draco House)
- Green (Orion House)
- Blue (Pegasus House)
- Yellow (Ursa House)
Purchasing school uniform
School uniform is available from Laser Schoolwear which is located at 29 Church Street, Runcorn, WA7 1LX or by ordering online through the Laser Schoolwear website. Blazers and Ties must be purchased from Laser Schoolwear. However, all other items are generic and may be purchased from elsewhere.

| Tights can be black, dark grey or neutral. | A choice of shorts/leggings/ tracksuit bottoms. Any plain black leggings or tracksuit bottoms from any shop can be worn provided the logo cannot be seen. |
| Black school shoes *Trainers, pumps and heels are not permitted | Astro turf trainers are compulsory for all. Trainers are required. *There are specific Astro turf boots available that can be worn indoors – if your child has a pair of these then they will not require trainers. |
Hair, Make-up, Jewellery and Accessories
- No false/acrylic/gel nails or varnish is allowed
- Brows must be natural
- Hair should be a natural colour – extreme colours/styles and accessories are not permitted
- False eye lashes are not permitted
- The only jewellery that is permitted is one pair of silver or gold small studs.
Shoes
- Shoes should be plain, black school shoes.
- Trainers, pumps and heels are not permitted.
Coats
Outdoor coats must be removed on entry to the academy.
